Luxury lifestyle and urban hotel management company introduces room key in Apple Wallet to deliver seamless, secure, and contactless guest access.

The organization operates a growing collection of lifestyle and urban properties designed to deliver memorable, design-driven guest experiences that emphasize comfort, flexibility, and modern convenience.

Challenge:

Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management sought to introduce a more seamless and contactless room access experience that would align with evolving guest expectations for mobile-first interactions and frictionless stays. The solution needed to reduce reliance on physical keycards while maintaining high levels of security, privacy, and operational control.

Solution:

Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management implemented room key in Apple Wallet using Vingcard NFC-enabled door locks together with Vostio Access Management, a cloud-based platform designed to streamline security access operations and digital key delivery.

Guests can add their room key to Apple Wallet through the MGH Rewards Club app and use their iPhone or Apple Watch to unlock guest rooms, elevators, and other keycard-protected areas throughout a property. Express Mode enables tap-to-enter access without unlocking the device, while Power Reserve functionality allows continued room access even when a device requires charging.

Using Vostio Access Management, each hotel can assign rooms, issue and update digital keys, and manage access remotely without the need for onsite servers. The solution leverages modern encryption standards, including MIFARE 2GO, to support secure digital key provisioning while enabling automatic software updates that help protect against evolving security risks.

Initially launched at sequence MIYASHITA PARK and sequence SUIDOBASHI, additional Mitsui Garden Hotel locations are set to introduce the capability during phased expansions planned across the broader portfolio.
